PRESTO - Manage Your Card Anytime, Anywhere
PRESTO is a free travel and navigation app developed by Metrolinx. It is compatible with Android 5.0 and above and can be used on various transportation systems in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, including TTC, GO Transit, and UP Express. However, it does not support rooted devices due to security concerns.
With PRESTO, you can easily manage your card and transit passes anytime and anywhere. You can load funds and transit passes instantly with NFC, pay with Google Pay, debit/credit cards, or saved payment methods, and set up and manage Autoload and Autorenew. The app also allows you to manage up to 10 PRESTO cards, check your card balances, view transaction history, and receive low balance/pass expiry reminders and email receipts for fare purchases.
Additionally, you can buy a PRESTO card and create a PRESTO account with the app. The check balance feature displays the time that your active transfers will expire, and you can set, modify, or remove a default trip for GO Transit rail trips through the settings menu. Overall, PRESTO is a convenient and reliable app for managing your transit fares in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
